THE DISAPPEARED MOUNTAIN.

They purple in the reddened sky.....
It hides behind a canopy of cloud.
Vapours rising from the damp earth
Ascend like silken spirits
From the shackles of their willingness
To endeavour endless penance....
In an instant tasting freedom in their hesitance.
Night accepts them into her bosomed solace.
They drink of her nectar
And refreshed are released....
To be nourished by the wakened moon.
Shadows of mountains
In gauze-like mist-shrouds
Give up the struggle to be seen...
But their lingering magic overpowers the senses...
Their energy seeping through thickening air...
Across boulders like giants
Ensucking electrified atmosphere...
And clearly now...resplendent in star essence...
The disappeared mountain...
Shaken from slumbrousness...
Calmly...majestically........solemnly...appears!
