Giles Beautiful stuff, perhaps it's weird to say this but I find this record very "listenable" - both in the sense of the raw sounds and recording being beautiful in themselves and also in the development and pacing of the improvisations and the discretion and range of expression.

Despite the length and variety offered by this release, a few general techniques or patterns are present throughout. Most notable is the interaction between Thomas and Wright, with the former playing in his signature dense and percussive style while the latter provides bursts of gritty notes on the alto.
